israelg I start to have problems using the DropWord Script. I’m running the script but NOTHING happens…
Ariel Hi Israel, Did you managed to get this to work in the end? If not, one thing to try if you're on Windows is to run InDesign as "administrator". There's a bug in some versions of InDesign that requires it to be run once as an administrator to help it load some essential components. If they're not there, some Id-Extras scripts won't respond at all when you try to run them by double-clicking in the Scripts panel. Running as administrator solves the problem permanently. (For more details about this bug, see the discussion on the Adobe InDesign forum here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign-discussions/doscript-error-unable-to-load-adobe-indesign-type-library-version-1-0/td-p/11264794)
israelg I'm working on a Mac - and using the latest version of InDesign. This used to work perfectly. Until last week.... Israel
Ariel Can you explain in more detail what the problem is? What happens when you double-click on the script in the Scripts panel?
israelg Ariel I double click like I used to do always. For some reason, when I double click, nothing happens...
Ariel Turns out the script was working fine. The issue was a hidden tab in the paragraph that meant that the first tab that Dropword inserted did nothing. Opening the flyout menu of the tabs bar and choosing "Delete all existing tabs" fixed the issue!
