Change default behaviour of FitTextToFrame

Hi, is it possible to change the default settings of the script? I always run it with certain settings which are not the default, so I have to change them every time I run the script.

Hi @Jeroen,
FitText remembers the last-used settings for each document you've used it for.
But when you run it for the first time on a document, the settings will be the default settings until you change them for that document.

Hi @Ariel, thanks. Since we use the script with the Data Merge function of InDesign (Data Merge -> Create Merged Document) it always runs for the first time because it is a new document that is being created. Is there any way to work around this? I see the script is a jsxbin which can't be edited, which I totally understand.

For now, the prefs are stored on document basis only.
There is an InDesign Server version of FitText which would allow you to run Fit Text without a UI at all, via scripting.
