QuickResize document text stretched?

I'm resizing a multipage booklet from 6.5 inches wide x 8.5 inches tall to 6 inches wide and 9 inches tall (so different proportions). When I do this, I obviously uncheck the "Constrain Proportions" option, because otherwise I can't resize to the correct dimensions. However, this simply stretches everything (text and images both) to fit the page. I was under the impression this plugin would not have this effect ("The new size can be specified in any units, or as a percentage of the current size. The new size doesn’t even have to maintain the old document proportions – so you can make a new document that is 50% narrower than the current one, if you like.")
Is there something that I'm missing? I've also tried checking and unchecking the Redefine Scaling option with no difference in outcome. Below are screenshots showing the original versus the "resized" versions.

Since the proportions are different, it will stretch things in one direction or other.
The thing to do, is keep the "constrain proportions" on, and decrease the width to the required size. Now everything will resize proportionally and be ok.
Then, as a next step, go into the document definitions, and adjust the height to the required size (in other words, without using QuickResize).
This will, of course, create some extra white margin, but that's inevitable since the proportions are not the same.
But at least everything will be resized perfectly to fit the new width.
You can then use the free "Snap margins to text frame" script that comes with InDesign (also by Id-Extras!) to adjust the height of the text frames all in one go, if needed.
