"Append as conditional text"

Hola, acabo de adquirir e instalar Translate para Indesign. Al probarlo no veo las opciones de "Translated Text Options - Append as conditional text" como en el video tutorial. Entonces no crea cada idioma como textos condicionales y no veo como mantener los diferentes idiomas en un documento. Hay algo que estoy haciendo mal?

Hi @Sergio,
You're right, the conditional language option has been removed in newer editions.
To maintain different languages in the same document, I recommend copying the text frames that contain the source text to a new layer, and then translating that. That way, you can have multiple layers in the same document, each for a different language.

Hi Ariel, really? taken away such an essential function and kept it in the promo video? Was there any reason for what in my opinion is making the scrip worse instead of better? I think duplicating layers is just a worse ‘solution’, especially when you use anchored images.

I'll consider reinstating it. I think it wasn't much used.
I don't understand your point about anchored images though. Duplicate a layer (that will include all anchored images), and then show the language layer you want, including the anchored images, and hide the other layers. Does that not work conveniently?

Sorry, I was referring specifically to whether we have corrections/changes to add or remove anchored images or images inserted into text boxes. In my opinion, the conditional language option seemed very good. If you could add it back, it would be greatly appreciated, although some users don't use it and prefer to use layers (I use layers to sort elements by other criteria). Thank you Ariel.
